Sunshine Week starts March 12-18, 2017
Florida's Sunshine Laws are among the strongest in the nation, giving every citizen access to the information necessary for participating in the democratic process. These laws protect a citizen's right to know how government operates, making information such as public events, government meeting minutes, and court proceedings available to all.
At the Clerk of Circuit Court for Hernando County, it is our duty to ensure transparency and accountability in government. We are dedicated to building and maintaining public trust by keeping government in the sunshine and accessible to the citizens that we serve. Our website provides access to public record information, a searchable database for all meeting minutes and provides access to financial information including the County Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR), audits and budget.
The Florida Court Clerks and Comptrollers (FCCC) encourage citizens to learn more about government in the sunshine. For a list of local websites and records provided by Clerks across the state, visit www.flclerks.com.
